Recently, we had the pleasure of attending the Apprenticeship Awards Ceremony 2025 at Loughborough College, where we celebrated the hard work and achievements of apprentices across various industries.
We are thrilled to share that our very own Matthew Ellaway, who has been with us for nearly two years as a Technical Support Apprentice Engineer, won the prestigious Technology Apprentice of the Year award!
This recognition is a testament to Matthew’s dedication, perseverance and passion for engineering. Throughout his apprenticeship, he has continuously demonstrated an eagerness to learn, an exceptional work ethic and a drive to develop his technical skills. His contributions to Weiss Technik UK have been invaluable, and we are incredibly proud to see his efforts acknowledged in such a significant way.
Matthew’s journey with us began with a keen interest in engineering and a desire to gain hands-on experience. He chose an apprenticeship at Weiss Technik UK over university because he wanted to develop practical skills and knowledge in a real-world setting. From the very beginning, he embraced the opportunity, learning everything from customer communication to remotely assisting with climatic test chamber issues. His ability to carry out calibrations and maintenance has been an essential part of his growth, equipping him with the technical expertise required in the field.

He has seized every opportunity to expand his knowledge and refine his skills, always pushing himself to take on new challenges.
