As we reflect on the past few months and look ahead to the second half of this year, I’m proud to share some exciting updates and developments from Weiss Technik UK.
One of the most significant achievements this quarter is the continued growth of our business. We’ve been collectively engaged in pursuing growth with vigour, leveraging all elements of our business, and I’m delighted that this hard work and endeavour continues to bring dividends. We’ve engaged a new and expanded Sales Team this year, we’ve added to our already class-leading Service Team, and we’ve set the foundations for our exciting expansion into Ireland.
Although we’re synonymous with boasting one of the most comprehensive portfolios of environmental simulation solutions for component testing and evaluation, many customers also engage us for our highly specialised heat technology, with our range of industrial ovens. We’ve invested significantly in the UK with knowledge and support, and we’ve subsequently seen a solid increase in demand for the often specialised solutions we can provide. Our ovens are suitable for quite a number of industry sectors and applications, but in particular we’ve had success in thermal treatment of materials such as plastics and rubbers, thermal processing for the ophthalmic industry, and deploying our Atex Rated ovens for safe use in explosive atmospheres.
As mentioned at the start, from July this year Weiss Technik UK is expanding into Ireland. We’ve been well represented in the Irish market for several years via our partner DACTEC, and we’re continuing the representation directly with our own resources, covering all 32 counties of the island of Ireland. We’ll continue to add people and resources as we grow the business, but we are seeing already a strong demand. Our model is based on being local to our customer, and deploying our own people based in Ireland is key.
We’ve been very busy engaging with our customers and seeking their input as to what they want from us for Service & Support. We’ll be launching from July a revised and improved portfolio as we’ve designed a new series of Service Products that we trust will allow all of our customers to enjoy and benefit from the exceptional levels of service that we’re able to provide in the UK. We are extremely proud to have built a professional Service Team of 26 colleagues in the UK, of which 17 are field-based Service Engineers, located around the country in order to minimise our service response times. Do engage with us now to see how we can look after your investment and look after the pennies.
Another major project we’re proud to have launched recently is our brand new website. The site has been designed to better reflect who we are as a company and align more closely with the global Weiss Technik brand. It’s not only more visually engaging, but also more intuitive and informative for our customers, whether they’re learning about our environmental test chambers for the first time or seeking tailored service and support. The project has been a real collaborative effort, and I’d like to thank all involved for their hard work and dedication in bringing it to life.
Outside of our day-to-day work, I’m also pleased to highlight the efforts of some of our colleagues, who are taking part in the It’s a Knockout Challenge this month in support of our charity partner, Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. Rainbows provides vital care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families, and we’re proud to support such an important cause. It’s fantastic to see our team coming together, showing team spirit and doing something so meaningful to raise funds. We’ll be sharing updates on how they get on soon, so do keep an eye out. If you’d like to show your support and donate to this brilliant cause, you can find our JustGiving link here – every donation, big or small, will help to make a big difference.
Thank you, as always, to our customers, partners and the entire Weiss Technik UK team for your continued trust and collaboration. We have more exciting developments in the pipeline, and I look forward to sharing them with you in the next update.
