As part of the ongoing development of their UK infrastructure, Weiss Technik UK Ltd has announced new customer service initiatives.
Weiss Technik Service Manager, Richard Fleming, said, “We have been reviewing our complete service infrastructure and have made some fundamental improvements to ensure our customers receive maximum support at the best value, for the lifetime of their equipment."
“Environmental test chambers need to be installed, calibrated and maintained to the highest standards so they deliver consistent and precise results." As market leaders, we really understand the needs of our customers. Our new service package is structured around offering three different levels the customer can select from:
- A Standard maintenance level that includes all basic functional operations and safety checks
- A Premium level - our most popular option that delivers total peace of mind and includes a three-month warranty for the work carried out during the maintenance.
- A Tailored approach where customers can specify a precise level of service support to meet their business needs.

We appreciate that the capital cost of equipment can be planned well in advance of the initial chamber purchase but often the costs of service are overlooked. It’s our intention to make the complete ‘equipment + service’ package as attractive as possible. We now have a dedicated sales and service expert who can assist our customers to achieve the best service support tailored to meet their specific needs. We offer a comprehensive calibration of temperature, humidity and pressure traceable to UKAS. Reference measurements for lighting systems are also possible.
We have also introduced a lower pricing structure that’s allied to a new minimum 4-hour call-out charge, with additional time then charged by the hour. In fact, we now provide the customer with the opportunity to purchase service hours in advance and ‘bank’ them for future use. Along with lower hourly rates for engineers, our OEM parts are very competitively priced.
Our 16 factory-trained service engineers provide nationwide coverage of the UK and we are in the process of recruiting more to ensure we can quickly reach our target of achieving a 48-hour maximum response time. Contract customers also benefit from a technical helpline.
“In summary, this is, without doubt, the strongest service offering Weiss Technik UK has ever provided and we will continue to expand upon it. The feedback we are receiving from customers is very positive from the new structure and that we are also including service support for other brands of environmental test equipment. Customers requiring further information on any aspect of our new service offers should contact the service team directly on 01509 631590" Richard concluded.
