Weiss Technik UK is pleased to be attending the University Bioscience Managers’ Association (UBMA)’s 42nd annual conference on 9 – 11 April at Harper Adams University. The event will bring together technical managers from biological, biochemical and life sciences facilities across the UK and Ireland, providing a vital forum for sharing ideas, discussing best practices and influencing national policy.
Originally founded in 1983 as the University Biological Supervisors’ Association (UBSA), UBMA has evolved into a key network for bioscience professionals. With the integration of the National Association of Biochemistry & Biological Sciences (NABBS) in 2012, UBMA broadened its expertise, strengthening its role in managing bioscience resources effectively. The association focuses on fostering collaboration, enhancing professional development and supporting the strategic management of bioscience facilities.
The UBMA annual conference serves as the primary event for bioscience managers to connect, share knowledge and explore advancements in laboratory and research facility management. Across two days, delegates will discuss the latest trends in bioscience resource management, training and policy, ensuring the sector continues to thrive.
